 | Operational Innovation and football
Innovation is a key factor for companies in the Øresund IT region. To be to the top we need to be faster and in the long run more effective than the competition. There are talented people in many locations and technology travel well so we also need other differentiators. In the EURO 2008 football matches, a success factor is how well the players interact. Is interaction and synchronization one of the arenas where we can outsmart the competitors by breaking the common rules for how we operate?

|  |  | Does ICT contribute to productivity or does it just make things more complicated? Having discussed this for several years, the agreement today is that ICT is a major factor behind high productivity. ICT can indeed help in letting fewer achieve more, but of course the human and organizational development must lead the technical one. Such benefits should also be offered to our public sector, which is challenged by ever more demanding citizens while internally facing large retirements. Within this sector, our member ITEK has pointed out energy, health care, traffic and multimedia as key areas and we like to support that with relevant projects.
