Doubling of Swedish employees in Denmark

More than twice as many Swedes registered for the income tax in Denmark in 2007. This is the result of a new survey made by Skat Øresund. The numbers do not show Swedes who previously have worked in Denmark and thereby the survey shows a breakthrough among new employees across the Sound. In 2006 3,604 Swedes became employees in Denmark. In 2007 this number increased to 6,667. Compared to the 1,391 new Swedish employees in Denmark in 2005 this is almost an increase of 500 percent. During the first three months of 2008 another 1,367 Swedes got themselves a tax number for their first job in Denmark.
