CIA wanted to invest in Øresund IT company

The American intelligence agency CIA has its own venture company, IQT, which invests in start up companies with new technology.

New technology companies are attractive to more than regular investors. The American intelligence agency CIA is on the lookout for new technologies that can collect data. Therefore, they have set up the venture company In-Q-Tel (IQT) that invests in companies with new technology, which are of great importance to CIA. The company had a lookout for the Scandinavian IT start up Polar Rose that is working with online face recognition. However, Polar Rose has declined because they would lose their credibility when it comes to privacy, says Nikolaj Nyholm, CEO at Polar Rose to Computerworld.
